Our Free Soil Sample and Fertilizer Recommendations Tool
As farmers, we struggle each year to develop a fertility plan that fits both our budget and our needs. We suspect you do as well.
From that struggle arose our latest software tool: The "Soil Fertility Evaluation Tool."
In an effort to keep this tool free and as widely adoptable as possible, we developed it in Microsoft's Excel.
And, YES, it is free. As long as you agree to be bound by our End User License Agreement, you are free to use and distribute this tool.
Things you should know:
-- The tool download is a bit large. So, please be patient.
-- The tool uses Microsoft Excel Macros and VBA code. Thus, it is designed to work on desktop computers only.
-- When you first open the tool, Excel will prompt you to "Enable Editing" and/or "Allow Macros." The tool will only work if you enable/allow them.
-- Since this tool is designed for desktop versions of MS-Excel, your experience on mobile devices (ex. iPad) will be disappointing.
If you would like to learn more about using Microsoft Excel, please see our "(Un)Common Books" series.
Ok - without further ado, here is the link to download the "Soil Sample and Fertilizer Recommendations Tool."
